IRS Announces 2022 Mileage Rates

12.20.2021 | Last week, the IRS announced the 2022 mileage rates.  The business mileage rate is increasing by 2.5 cents, from $0.56/mile in 2021 to $0.585/mile in 2022.  The final move deductible rate is also increasing by 2 cents, from $0.16/mile in 2021 to $0.18/mile in 2022.

Please keep in mind that final move mileage (along with shipment, storage, and final move costs) are taxable since January 1, 2018 with the exception of military moves and certain states. The charitable mileage rate remains unchanged at $0.14/mile.  See all the details here:    IRS Notice 2022-03
