OUR COMMITMENT TO SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY 

At Orion Mobility, we believe in giving back. One of our key initiatives is supporting the Chicago Furniture Bank (CFB), a nonprofit dedicated to furnishing homes, creating jobs, and reducing waste.

Furnishing Homes for People in Need 

The CFB furnishes homes for folks leaving shelters and moving into permanent housing. In 2024, the CFB fully furnished 6,000 homes for 12,000 clients, through its partnerships with 400 social service agencies.

  • Creating Jobs for At-Risk Youth

    CFB hires from the same communities is serves with majority of its team having lived experience or facing other barriers from entering the workforce (e.g. incareration)Each year, 12 million tons of furniture end up in landfills. Last year the CFB repurposed  7,000+ tons of furniture. Since starting, the CFB has diverted more furniture than the volume of the Empire State Building. 

  • Providing a Convenient Way to Give Back

    CFB makes donating furniture easy for businesses and individuals. Donations are tax-deductible and directly support families in need.
